The safety pin is an object that we always handy and has saved us on more than one occasion. Walter Hunt was the American who invented and patented, although the ancient Greeks and Romans used similar items.
One day Hunt began playing with a small piece of wire, first I turned one way, then another. In less than three hours had created one of the most useful inventions for man. Hunt
described in his step, his invention was a needle made from a piece of wire forming a spring and a closing pressure which puts such a needle, which is retained by its own dock.
The safety pin was patented April 10, 1849.
The inventor then sold the rights for a few dollars, which enabled him to pay a debt of $ 15, losing future profits generated by this little tool.
